TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to W [William] R [Robert] Bousfield KC
Date31 January 1913
Description'I submitted the copy of your paper with your pencil emendations to Professor Schuster and also to the Chairman of the Committee, who went into the matter with some care. They quite accept the alterations you have made; but the latter believes that the text is capable of further compression without any loss to the value or lucidity of the paper as an account of your investigation and conclusions. He has by way of illustration of the character of the revision to which these remarks apply, marked some of the early pages in blue pencil were to some extent revised on similar lines, it would gain rather than lose by the process. If you are willing to give effect to these suggestions perhaps you will do so , as you propose, in red ink on the original paper and send it back to me; after which I do not think there need be any further after which I do not think there need be any further delay.'
