TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Sir John Rose Bradford, Secretary of the Royal Society
Date11 February 1913
DescriptionIn disscussing Mr Heape's paper Harrison writes that is a rather difficult question and that it is contrary to the Royal Society's policy and practice to accept closed communication on deposit, to be opened at some future time. He continues that there is no law forbidding acceptance of a paper on these terms, and that it could be placed in the archives without being read. It is Harrison's opinion however, that this can only be done by the Committee of Papers which he expects will not place the paper in the archives without looking at it.
In Mr Heape's previous letter he wrote that this has been done before but Harrison disagrees because there is no record of it.
