Description | 'In connection with the celebration last year of the 250th Anniversary of the foundation of the Royal Society the Imperial Academy of Sciences was good enough to appoint a delegate to attend the celebrations, but so far as I can ascertain he was prevented from being present. On that occasion Addresses of Congratulation were presented or sent by a number of Universities and learned bodies, and these it is proposed to print and publish as a memorial of the occasion. I do not find among them any Address from Vienna; but before printing the collection I should like to be satisfied that no such Address was sent.' |
