TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to [Messrs Harrison & Sons]
Date10 March 1913
Description'Proof of Proceedings Index enclosed. The type shown (small caps) not Clarendon will I think do well, but I gave no instructions that every author's name was to have a separate line. That would lead to a quite gratuitous waste of space. Also I dislike very much the hyphens after the names. Where authors have only one paper the title should certainly run on after the name, with one space between. I do not feel certain about the cases where one author has several papersl whether the title of the first paper should run on and the rest range under an inner margin. If it would not look very bad, it would be more consistent with the others; and I should like to try it. Will you please set up the page again on those lines and let me see a proof. Can we not do with rather smaller figures for the references?'
