TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Dr W Rosenhaim, Natural Physical Laboratory
Date11 April 1913
Description'The Committee for exhibits at the Society's Soiree, meeting the other day, agreed among other things that Messrs Leitz should be given this opportunity of showing some novelties which they said they had ready; and in response to a consequent invitation they have sent in the enclose proposal.
Would you be so kind as to look at it and advise me which of the exhibits they offer are of sufficient scientific interest to be worthy of acceptance? I should myself feel inclined to rule out the last three as being too much of the nature of more trade advertisement; and one would rather hesitate about accepting the whole of the apparatus figured under the title of Micro-metallograp because of the space it would occupy, much of which would be taken by parts in which these is no novelty; but I think we are committed now to accepting something from them, and it is because I remember your showing micro-metallographic results here in the past that I have ventured to trouble you, with this appeal. If you could let me have one line on the subject by Monday I should be greatly obliged, because the committee meets again that afternoon.'
