TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to the Secretary, Russian Embassy
Date22 April 1913
Description'I have to thank you for your letter of the 15th instant, and for the trouble you have been good enough to take in making arrangements for the entry into Russia of the party of delegates of the Royal Society to the International Association of Academies meeting at St Petersburg.
I have been in communication with the delegates, and learn that they propose to leave London on the night of May 8th, and Berlin on the night of May 9th, arriving at St Petersburg early on Sunday morning (Whitsunday).
One of the delegates is at present in America, but took out his passport before leaving England. Inasmuch as he will have a very short time between his return from America and his departure for St Petersburg I should be greatly obliged by your informing me whether it would be possible to have his passport (which he left behind here) vise in his absence, and if any official letter from myself would facilitate this. I shall be very grateful for any advice you can give me upon this point; and with many apologies for giving you so much trouble.'
