TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr Charles Chree, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date11 July 1913
DescriptionHas his letter of yesterday about the return of Wright and the magnetic records of the [Robert Falcon] Scott [Terra Nova] expedition, and consulted the President [Sir Archibald Geikie] about it this morning. He states that no definite arrangements have yet been made regarding the distribution of the work of reduction and discussion of the magnetic and meteorological observations in the Antarctic.

So far as these observations are concerned, Professor [Arthur] Schuster's advice will probably be to a great extent relied on in making the necessary arrangements, and the Committee charged with the publication of the scientific results will no doubt look forward to enlisting Chree's assistance in part of their labours, but in doing so the President assures Chree that every consideration will be shown to him and he will be kept informed of the steps that are contemplated as soon as anything definite is decided upon.
