DescriptionRix encloses two figures to be done for Arthur Schuster and Arthur William Crossley's paper for 'Proceedings of the Royal Society' [not included]. The description for figure one is included, including references to an inverted bell-jar, closed at the bottom by an india rubber stopper and at the top by a plate of glass, containing a tight fitting cylindrical cage of wire gauze used to support the electrodes.
