TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Charles Davies Sherborn, Natural History Museum, South Kensington, S.W.
Date20 April 1891
DescriptionRix responds to Sherborn's letter of 18 April, which was read in committee, to report that no decision has been accepted; but as there is no available time for a Committee meeting for another month, it was not thought advisable for the scientific specialists to continue with their work until the question of whether the catalogue should be continued, according to the present plan, is resolved.

Rix is not at liberty to say any more, and suggests that Dr Michael Foster, the Senior Secretary, should be referred to for any further information, though he advises waiting for the next committee meeting instead.
