Description | Rix has been asked by the Royal Society secretaries to explain that the Soirée is not for reading papers, but for exhibiting objects of interest. The next Soirée is due to take place on 6 May, and they have suggested that Higgs make his own selection from what is ready by that date. Rix notes that the enlargements will be more suitable for exhibition than the original negatives, but it is Higg's decision if he wishes to bring them for comparison with the enlargements.
He notes Higgs' requirement for one square yard on a table, and asks that he let them know if he will need more room than this. Rix further notes that they have easel shaped frames to stand upon tables [includes an illustration of this] which occupy a square yard of space, and he may find one or more useful. An invitation card has been enclosed for Higgs, and a proof of the title sent for the programme, the latter of which is to be corrected and returned. |
