TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster, [Royal Society]
Date28 November 1891
DescriptionRix notes that the enclosed plan has gone to the printers, with the corrections indicated having already been made. As they go to press at 11am on Monday, any substitutions of names can be made, but anything involving the shifting of numbers and corresponding alterations to the index cannot be done in time.

Sir Frederick Leighton and Sir James Paget are noted as only having given notice that morning, and by the same post Sir George Gabriel Stokes sent word that he is unwell and is unlikely to attend. The President has not yet heard whether Lothian will speak. Rix also notes that he has included Paget and Leighton by his own judgement, but that all other alterations are made by authority.

A postscript notes that Rix has put one more than the table will hold on the President's right, on the basis that Dr Salisbury will not attend. He also notes that the index is 'all wrong' and so is unlikely to help.
