DescriptionThe Mackinnon Studentship on the physical side is at present held by Mr j Jackson for the continuation of his work on the orbit of Jupiter's eighth satellite. As is stated in the advertisement this student is applying for a renewal of the Studentship: the conditions are set out in the regulations, a copy of which Harrison encloses, together with an application form [no enclosures]. The decision as to sending in a typewritten account of his research work must rest with himself, every application is considered solely on its merits.
