Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor [Arthur] Schuster, Secretary of the Royal Society |
Date | 18 May 1914 |
Description | At last word has been heard from Pawlow giving an address at Cambridge. After reading through Professor Townsend's report Harrison does not feel competent to draft the criticisms which he wished to be addressed to the proposal to omit the introductory part, so thinks it better to send the papers to Scuster. If he will kindly draft a letter to Pawlow and send it to Harrison he will get it typed and copied. Is therefore sending the paper, Townsend's report and Professor Bragg's letter [no enclosures].
He will remember the Committee agreed to recommend the paper for publication, subject to the modifications proposed by the referees, which implied the omission of the first page and a half, and Townsend's criticisms about the velocities. |
