TitleCopy letter from John Rose Bradford, to Miss Lawrence
Date26 June 1914
DescriptionThe President and Council at their last meeting had before them the generous offer made by Lawrence and her sister to present to the Royal Society a sum of £4000 to form a fund in memory of the late Sir William Lawrence and Sir Trevor Lawrence, the income of which is to be devoted to the furtherance of research into the causes and cure of disease in man and animals.

It was resolved unanimously to accept the trust imposed on them, and desired to tender their thanks for the donation, which they have pleasure in applying in accordance with the terms proposed. It is understood she desires to transfer the amount of the donation in the form of a cheque, and this should be made payable to the Treasurer of the Royal Society.
