TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr Charles Chree, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date27 July 1914
DescriptionThanks him for his card. The library has a copy of Dr Power's Experimental Philosophy, but it does not have the Royal Society bookplate in it, and has inside the cover of a bookseller's label which rather suggests that it was bought second-hand to replace the lost copy. Thinks that the copy that Chree has at Kew is the original library copy. So if he is not particularly anxious to keep it and would care to exchange, Harrison thinks it would be more appropriate to have the bookplate copy in the library.
