TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society to Professor Arthur Schuster, Secretary of the Royal Society
Date19 January 1915
Description'While I think of it I write, and you can tell me your opinion when we meet. From various causes, which I will not go into now, the Year Book will probably be later than usual in appearing this year. Most of it is already at the printers, but all depends upon how fast they get on with it. In these circumstances do you think it might be worth while to delay the appearance of the Year Book a little longer so as to include that changes now being proposed in the Statutes? If those changes go through without any especial hindrance they would be passed finally on the 18th February, and the book with them inserted could be out before the end of that month. The new Standing Orders have of course been inserted already. Perhaps you would make note to speak to me tomorrow on any other points you have in mind for the Year Book.
Enclose is a copy of a letter received yesterday from the Treasury about the National Physical Laboratory, which you may like to see at once. I sent a copy to Dr Glazebrook as I knew he was waiting for it anxiously, and has a meeting of his committee today.'
