Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society to Messrs A W Gamage Ltd |
Date | 5 February 1915 |
Description | 'With reference to the delivery on Wednesday last of a telephone arm recently ordered from your firm, we should like to protest against the practice of sending goods for payment on delivery, to which we very strongly object. It would be quite simple to inform us that the goods are ready and send us a bill, in the event of your being unable to trust a Society of the repute of the Royal Society to pay for goods after they have been delivered. The order was sent to you was official, and not for myself personally.' |
