Mr Jeans sends a distinctly adverse report on this paper. His reasons against publication are given on the annexed sheet, which is sent in original.
Will Prof Schuster kindly return it and say whether a further opinion should be obtained.
Mrs Ayrton's paper.
Prof Lamb reports in favour of publication. He says "the experiments are interesting and simple, whatever the interpretation, and should I think be recorded".'
