Description'In confirmation of the statement made to you at the recent meeting of the Committee of the Royal Society for the investigation of Swine Fever, I am directed to inform you that the Committee have appointed you to superintend, under their control, the preliminary investigation into Swine Fever at a salary of £700 per annum as from the beginning of the current financial year, the arrangement being terminable by one month's notice on either side.'
