TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society to Roberts Casual Employment Bureau
Date4 August 1915
Description'Mr W B Hardy tells me that the REgister of Cambridge men available for war service, which has formed the subject of correspondence with him and which we understand the University is willing to hand over to the Royal Society for amalgamation with the Society's own register, is in your hands; I am therefore to say what the list of our own Fellows collected here is now fairly complete, and several provincial universities and colleagues have sent in lists of their own to be incorporated with ours. The Society therefore is ready to receive the Cambridge list whenever you are in a position to supply it; but before forwarding actual material Mr Hardy has expressed his willingness to come and look it over with you, with a view to sending in only what can be most usefully dealt with here. Perhaps, therefore, you will communicate direct with him at Cambridge.'
