TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to Sir [Robert Abbott] Hadfield, FRS
Date14 August 1917
DescriptionInforms Sir [Robert Abbott] Hadfield that the delay in publishing his joint paper with M. Cheneveau is a result of a poor translator. Explains that the translator seems to have been unfamiliar with French idioms and so the English version often conveys a very different meaning from what was clearly intended. Notes that the whole paper had to be reviewed and corrected.
