TitleCopy letter from Joseph John Thomson, President of the Royal Society; to the Secretary of His Majesty's Treasury
Date12 June 1919
DescriptionAsks if the Secretary can convey the views of Their Lordships on the subject brought before them a month ago, of the grants made to the Society by the Treasury for the purposes of scientific investigations. Informs the Secretary that a meeting of the International Research Council is to be held in Brussels next month and it would be a great advantage to the Council's deliberations if they knew the attitude of His Majesty's Treasury with regard to the mode in which subventions to international scientific organisations are likely to be administered in future.
