DescriptionAdvises that the first referee, Professor HH [Henry Horatio] Dixon, [FRS], has given a favourable report for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society,' for the paper 'The microscopial features of mechanical strains in timber and the bearing of these on the structure of the cell-walls of plants,' by W Robinson. The paper will be around 40 pages in the 'Transactions.' Requests the Chairman of the Botany Committee, Professor VH [Vernon Herbert] Blackman, FRS, nominate a second referee.
