He specifies the assistance given by Dr Morize, Director of the Rio Observatory after the team landed at Camocin, and the Prefect of Sobral, Dr Jacome de Oliveira, Dr Leocadia d'Aranjo who acted as interpreter and 'threw himself heart and soul into the work of the Expedition.' 'The results obtained by the Expedition surpassed in importance those obtained by any expedition in the history of Astronomy.' |
