TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to Professor [Arthur] Schuster, Secretary of the Royal Society
Date14 July 1919
DescriptionApplication by the Executive Committee of the International Catalogue of Scientific Literature for the payment of £353.15.2 from the special fund at the disposal of the Royal Society, to pay Messrs. Harrison & Sons for printing an issue of the catalogue: 9 R. Bacteriology, 13th issue. Advises applications to the special fund are referred to the Finance Committee by a resolution of the Council of the Royal Society, 18 May 1916. There is little doubt this should be paid, and it appears unnecessary to the Treasurer [Sir Alfred Bray Kempe, FRS] for this to require the meeting of the Finance Committee. He suggests the matter be dealt with by the signing by members of the annexed authority. The content of the authority is the agreement of the transfer of the balance of the special fund to the Executive Committee.
