DescriptionAdvises there is a conference at 10 AM on Saturday at the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research at 16-18 Old Queen Street, Westminster, SW 1, on the production of commercial alcohol on Saturday. Sir George [Thomas] Beilby, and 'Nathan' will be present among others. Requests that someone concerned with chemistry attends. Asks if Dr HH [Sir Henry Hallett] Dale, FRS, could attend and take 'Dudley' with him. [Author is a Secretary of the Royal Society, but his signature is not visible. Secretaries at the time were Sir William Bate Hardy, FRS and Sir James Hopwood Jeans, FRS].
