Description | Adverting to Foster's letter of 21 May, only £100 has yet been received by the Royal Society out of the original grant of £250 made by the London County Council for research on the vitality of pathogenic organisms in water. As the Royal Society has advanced money out of their own funds over and above the sum voted by the Government Grant Committee, Foster ventures to asks that the balance be paid to the Treasurer of the Royal Society [John Evans]. |
