TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt], Secretary, Royal Society
Date25 March 1892
DescriptionThe latest date for the Soirée sub-committee to suggest exhibits, so as to allow proper time for correspondence with exhibitors would be 7 April but Rix supposes Rayleigh will hardly wish to break his recess by holding a Committee on that day. Rix suggests they summon a Soirée sub-committee next Thursday. Dr [Michael] Foster is off to Naples and could not attend on either day. On looking through Professor [Frank] Clowes' paper today, Rix found it to consist really of three distinct papers and has therefore announced all three for next Thursday, since they are related and quite short. Professor Clifton has just fixed 8 April for Board B.
