DescriptionProfessor Marshall Ward accepts the Genoa offer [to be a delegate for the Royal Society at the botanical congress], Professor W C Williamson and Mr C B Clarke decline. Rix thought he was to expect from the Joint Committee an amended draft of Foster's letter to Admiralty. He asks because nothing has yet come. No letter has yet gone to to Admiralty or the Foreign Office. Rix encloses a Genoa letter for Foster's signature [not attached].
