DescriptionInforms Sir Richard [Tetley] Glazebrook that the Board of Trade have asked the Society to send one or more representatives to a preliminary meeting in connection with the coming meeting of the Metric Convention. Notes that he had intended to suggest Sir Glazebrook's name, and that Sir [Arthur] Schuster has suggested [Percy Alexander] MacMahon as a possible second representative. Asks Sir Glazebrook if he has any other suggestions. On a separate note, informs Sir Glazebrook that [Geoffrey Ingram] Taylor's report on Brunt's paper, 'The dynamics of revolving fluid on a rotating earth', was entirely adverese and asks whether he think they ought to send it to a second referee.
