| Description | Informs the Lord Rayleigh that the report on Professor [Alexander Eugen] Conrady's paper, 'A study of the balance', was favourable and suggests passing it under Standing Order 43. Further informs that [P. E.] Shaw wrote a 'rather querulous and argumentative letter' about the decision on his and N. Davy's paper, and that he has requested that his letter be laid before the Physics Committee at their next meeting. Also writes of three new papers on which a decision is required: one by [Charles Drummond] Ellis, 'ß ray spectra and their meaning', one by [Snehamoy] Datta, 'The spectrum of beryllium fluoride', and one by [David William] Dye, 'Calculation of primary standard of mutual inductance of the Campbell type'. Asks what should be done with each. |
