Date6 March 1924
DescriptionStates that James Hopwood Jeans is glad Lang is rewriting his paper 'Ultraviolet spark spectra of some of the elements' as there has been an impression form the referees that the paper was good but presented in an unfinished way. In response to the cablegram sent by McLennan Reponses that the Royal Society cannot offer Fields hospitality in the way of office rooms and clerical assistance but will assist him in organising the Mathematical Congress. Suggests Fields may be better off contacting the British Association. Lists current work load in the letter as the British Empire Exhibition and the Kelvin Centenary Celebrations.
