TitleCopy letter from Francis Alexander Towle, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to the Hon. Secretary, St. Luke's Institute, E.C.11
Date25 March 1926
DescriptionReplies to the enquiry to book rooms on 5 June by stating that the Royal Society occupies a 2-floor building with small rooms. States that 20 would be a reasonable number and that only a small number would be intellectually interested in the history of the Society. Predicts only about 25 of the St. Luke's Institute would be interested if the Secretary lets the members know the items on display are only of technical scientific interest. This size would be about as large as needed for an effective explanation. [This is a description of the residence when the Royal Society was based at Burlington House.]
