TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Sir Alexander Armstrong, Fellow of The Royal Society
Date6 February 1893
DescriptionThe copy of Major General Cowell's article in 'Science' which Armstrong was good enough to lend Rix, was lain before the Officers of the Royal Society. The article having already been published, the Officers wish to inform Armstrong that it is contrary to the regulations of the Society to read it at any of their meetings, and there is no other way of specially calling the attention of the Fellows to the paper. Rix has done what he can by showing the article to some of the Society's most eminent geologists and now returns it with many thanks.
