TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to an unknown correspondent
Date3 March 1893
DescriptionDr Haycraft asked Rix if he would have to bear the expense of his demonstration. For the lantern borrowed from the Royal Institution there will of course be no charge but the oxy-hydrogen lamp was hired from Harvey & Peak and Mr Harvey had to attend to work it, so Rix supposes there will be one to two guineas to pay. Haycraft hired the lamp himself and they could of course call upon him to pay it but Rix does not think it would be quite generous.

Dr [Charles Scott] Sherrington's manuscript has come back revised and Rix shall not send it to the referee's again unless instructed to do so. Waymouth Reid's manuscript has also come back amended and Rix has sent this to Dr Gaskell to ask whether the substituted part meets his views.

Asks the correspondent to write to Dr Bristowe about [George] King and [Arthut] Newsholme's cancer paper.
