TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to R Wallace Stewart, University College, London
Date20 March 1893
DescriptionAt the instance of the President [William Thomson], who communicated Stewart's paper 'On the Absolute Thermal Conductivities of Iron and Copper', the Council have granted Stewart permission to have six copies of the paper at his own expense in order that he may present it as a theses for the DSc degree of the London University.

Rix suggests Stewart defers taking the copies until the latest practicable moment as it is possible Stewart's paper may have passed the referees and been ordered for printing in time to save him the expense of having it put up specially for the purpose. The manuscript is presently with the referees.
