DescriptionAnswers Professor [Charles Atwood] Kofoid's letters concerning the publication of Smeathman's Account of Termites - informs him that it was printed so long ago that there is no problem surounding copyright. Informs him that Smeathson was not a Fellow of the Royal Society but that he advertised elocution classes in a paper in the Philosophical Transactions and that he was a friend of [Joseph] Banks. Informs Kofoid that the Royal Society archive has the original MS of the paper, and its watercolour drawings.
