TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Messrs Sotheby, Wilkinson & Hodge, 13 Wellington Street, Strand, W.C.
Date3 July 1893
DescriptionRix noticed in the sale of the Southwell and Blathwayte papers that lots 817 and 818 contained papers of particular interest to the Royal Society, and so asks if he can be put in touch with the purchaser of those papers, or find out the terms on which they would part with them.

He further explains that they the Society have not recently been sent their sale catalogues, and so did not know of the aforementioned lots until after the sale had taken place. Rix therefore asks if they can let them have their catalogues as they did before, especially when they contain anything relevant to the Society.
