Description | Rix explains that the two parcels referred to in his letter of 28 September were correctly addressed, but were declined due to the cost of carriage, and the Royal Society were obliged to pay carriage both ways. If they succeed in their current efforts to arrange a cheaper mode of conveyance, he will lay their letter before the Committee and request that they be reinstated.
If they succeed in reestablishing the exchange, Rix hopes that they will remedy the deficiences in their series of publications, as they have not received 'Giornale" after volume 20 (1890). |
