TitleCopy letter from Michael Foster, to Professor John Theodore Cash, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date30 June 1893
Description'Dear Professor Cash,
Your application for a grant of £20 was brought before the President and Council of the Royal Society, but the Council considered that such urgency as would justify them in making a grant from the special fund placed at their disposal for extremely urgent cases was scarcely made out, and they decided, therefore, to refer you to the next meeting of the Government Grant Committee. I inclose a form herewith, which must be filled in and returned for registration by next February.
I am, yours truly,
(signed) M Foster
Sec. R.S. [Secretary, Royal Society]'.
