TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Henry Wilde, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date30 April 1894
Description'Dear Sir,
I am obliged to you for the interesting account of your exhibit in 1867, which I return herewith. I was quite unaware that there was any controversial matter in your Soiree item, and simply acted on the instruction in all cases to keep the rule of twelve printed lines as far as possible. As you make a point of having the whole of your description inserted in the programme, I suppose I must make an exception in your case, although I fear it may cause dissatisfaction on the part of some others of the exhibitors.
I am, yours truly,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.
