TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Miss Hilda Robertson, Elkstone, Thornton Road, Clapham Park, S.W.
Date16 May 1894
DescriptionRix writes, at the direction of the Officers, to inform Robertson that they have chosen another candidate. He apologises for having kept her in suspence for so long, and explains that when Robertson first applied they believe the vacancy would have to be filled immediately, but it did not occur as soon as expected. During the delay they received many applications, and many candidates, including her, had excellent qualifications, making the decision a difficult one.
