TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Dr Arthur Ransome, Devisdale, Bowdon, Cheshire
Date16 May 1894
Description'Dear Sir,
The new version of your paper which comes to hand this morning comes, unfortunately, too late. The version originally sent in is already in type, and you will have a proof sent you either tonight or tomorrow. I return, therefore, your amended version. Any corrections which are of importance may be marked upon the proof, and if not corrections in substance, will be allowed, otherwise the paper will of course have to be re-dated.
I am, yours truly,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]
P.S. I have thought better to return this new version so that you may have it by you to aid in correcting the proof'.
