Description | Rix responds to their letter of the 7 June to state that the Queen's College Library was put on the Royal Society exchange list in 1888. They did not officially receive 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society' before that date, though it is possible that they were presented with a copy from a Fellow of the Society.
They are entitled to volumes from 1889 to 1892 inclusive under the old Statute, which stated that 'Transactions' were to be sent only upon application of the grantee. The volumes for 1893 are sent by post under the new Statute, which states that those on the exchange list are entitled to regularly receive volumes without application. They will be sent to them in future. |
