TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to the Secretary, Bureau of International Exchange, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, U.S.A.
Date27 June 1894
DescriptionRix, in returning three cards, remarks that in this case, as with many others recently, the parcels arrived in advance of the card, making it difficult to identify the packets. In this case, the numbers which he has crossed through, may, or may not, have arrived. He asks for the titles of the works to allow them to verify them, and notes that they cannot find any wrappers of parcels bearing those numbers.

He asks that, in future, the parcel and card arrive on the same day, or the card arrives in advance of the parcel.
