TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt], Secretary, Royal Society
Date6 July 1894
DescriptionRix incloses two reports on a paper by T Gray, and asks whether a third referee is to be appointed, or whether the paper is to wait until October.

He also notes that the abstract of the paper by Threlfall, Brearley & Allen is required for the May number of 'Proceedings of the Royal Society' which they are now beginning. It was not set up for the meeting as it was too long, and would make around five pages of 'Proceedings'. Rix asks whether to set it up, or ask for a shortened abstract. The full paper is still with its referee.

Rix also asks for instructions regarding Joseph Norman Lockyer's papers, which have been halted due to the question about the tables. He further notes that he is proceeding with Dr David Salomons paper, and asks if he is correct in doing so.
