TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor David Ferrier, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date12 July 1894
DescriptionRix is sending specimen proofs of Ferrier's plates, both to allow him to decide whether the work is satisfactory, and which tint of paper he would prefer. In the latter case, Rix notes that he has marked with one cross the paper which matches their own and would give a uniform appearance in the volume, and marked with two crosses the white enamelled paper, which gives the 'greatest brilliancy to the subjects', and for which they would sacrifice the uniformity of the volume if he prefers it. He further notes that there are also other kinds of paper which he is free to choose instead. Once they have his answer they will get the whole series proved and let him have them with the text for correction.

Rix asks that Ferrier returns two sets of plates with his answer.
