DescriptionRix notes that it was agreed that if the proposed interview was granted, eleven people should represent the Royal Society: Lord Kelvin [William Thomson], Sir John Evans, Professor Michael Foster, Lord Rayleigh, Sir Joseph Lister, Sir William Flower, Sir Joseph Hooker, Sir John Kirk, Sir John Lubbock, Sir George Richards, and Professor Rucker. He will telegraph these men, and hopes that they will be able to attend.
