TitleLetter from Walter Bradford Cannon, 20 Prescott Street, Cambridge, Massachusetts, to Otto Loewi
Date11 December 1942
DescriptionMight have had seen Loewi at the dinner of Nobel Laureates but received the invitation too late to attend - has been 'afflicted with a Bell's palsy' and is beginning to recover muscle use. Hopes that all is going well with preparations for the Hitchcock lectureship. Has been supervising investigations into wound shock, and thinks there is evidence of a 'toxic agent,' perhaps something liberated from the damaged tissues.
