DescriptionDescriptions of the contents of Royal Society exhibitions (termed conversaziones, or soirees) from the early 20th century. The events were held usually in May and June of each year. The catalogues contain brief numbered descriptions of displays and their exhibitors, arranged room-by-room, in Burlington House, London. The programmes have a distinctive title-page with standard information on the event, venue and date, with the name of the then-Royal Society President and an engraved image of the Royal Society's seal or its coat of arms.
